Each semester, our students participate in the Global Engagement Colloquium where they reflect on what it means to engage with the world thoughtfully and ethically, understand and navigate uneven power dynamics, and build relationships with individuals and communities, and to consider questions of reciprocity and accountability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To fulfill this requirement, students complete an approved experience. Some examples include volunteer work, relevant internships, critical study abroad, international research programs, etc. They then participate in the Global Engagement Colloquium, a dedicated space for students to collectively reflect on their engagement, make connections between the conceptual and the concrete, and raise critical questions that have emerged from your specific experiential encounter. Through this class, students produce a reflection of their experience. Some of these reflections have been submitted to this archive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
