The Center for Russia, East Europe, and Central Asia (CREECA) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites K-12 educators to attend the virtual event \u201cQ&A for Teaching About Russia\u2019s Invasion of Ukraine.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This virtual event presents an opportunity for K-12 educators to engage with regional experts, address concerns, and explore ways to talk about Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine and its global impact in the classroom. Beginning with short presentations by four UW-Madison specialists, teachers will then have 30 minutes for discussion and Q&A with the panelists. The webinar will address Ukraine and Russia\u2019s historical relationship, what is happening now, and potential future outcomes; the Western European reaction to the invasion and its impact; the Ukrainian refugee crisis in global context; and examining and distinguishing mis- and disinformation from legitimate news on the war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
