Accepted participants are expected to attend all classes for their course(s) and all events. Classes will meet every day for one hour and a half (the schedule will accommodate different time zones).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Graduate applicants:<\/strong> Applicants should have completed their undergraduate studies by the time of the Institute and should be either enrolled in postgraduate degree programs or working as junior university teachers or researchers. Preference will be given to those junior scholars who can demonstrate active involvement in civil society and civic life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Advanced undergraduate applicants:<\/strong> Applicants must be enrolled as juniors or seniors. Preference will be given to those applicants who, while academically inclined, can demonstrate an active interest in civic life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>There are no requirements of citizenship or affiliation with a US university.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PROGRAM COSTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year due to extraordinary circumstances <strong>there will be NO program fees<\/strong> charged to individually accepted participants!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New School students register for maximum 2 courses and receive 6 credits. Other participants will receive Institute certificates listing the courses, and number of contact hours. All participants select maximum 2 out of the 3 graduate-level seminars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tuition fees<\/strong> apply as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Participants from The New School:<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tuition:<\/strong> Tuition for applicants from The New School is based on the tuition they pay at their respective home divisions (for credits or auditing). New School financial aid is applicable. Please contact the Office of Financial Aid for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Participants from other institutions in North America, Western Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa:<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tuition Fee:<\/strong> Non-New School students from other institutions in North America, Western Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa will be charged the New School\u2019s non-degree auditing fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Participants from academic institutions in Eurasia and Turkey:<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tuition Fee: <\/strong>Participants from Eurasia and Turkey will have their tuition fee covered by Institute funds supporting junior scholars from the countries in this part of the world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:11px\">[<em>Fellowship<\/em><strong>: <\/strong>We are working on securing a small number of modest fellowships for selected participants to support and facilitate their full participation for the duration of the Institute.
