Breakfast and lunch are included. (Kitchenette, with a refrigerator, microwave, plates &amp; utensils, and coffee\/tea, is available on the premises.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The program is open to all graduate and advanced undergraduate students from any accredited university in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Graduate applicants:<\/strong> Applicants should have completed their undergraduate studies by the time of the Institute and should be either enrolled in a postgraduate degree program or working as junior university teachers or researchers. Preference will be given to those applicants who can demonstrate active involvement in civil society and civic life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Advanced undergraduate applicants:<\/strong> We will consider a small number of advanced undergraduate applicants (juniors or seniors). Preference will be given to those applicants who, while academically inclined, can demonstrate an active interest in civic life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are no requirements of citizenship or affiliation with a US university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PROGRAM COSTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Program COSTS &#8211; <\/strong>participants will be responsible for their travel costs to\/from Wroclaw, Poland, and program fees (that cover lodging, breakfast, lunch, and tours). We offer a limited number of fellowships covering travel and program fees for participants from Eurasia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>~Participants from The New School:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tuition:<\/strong> Tuition for applicants from The New School is based on the tuition they pay at their respective home divisions. Each course earns 3 graduate credits. New School financial aid is applicable. Please contact the Office of Financial Aid for more information.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Program Fee: <\/strong>This year\u2019s program fee is $1,800 and it covers participants\u2019 room and board (breakfast and lunch) for the duration of the Institute, as well as the cultural programs, tours, opening and closing receptions, etc. Travel costs to\/from Wroclaw, Poland, are not covered by the program fee. Successful applicants can apply for support in their respective divisions. We encourage all applicants to look for outside funding sources as well.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>~Participants from other institutions in the US and abroad:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Program Fee<\/strong>: The program fee of the 2023 Graduate Summer Institute for non-New School students is $1,800, covering Institute certificates, room and board (breakfast and lunch), and the cultural program of lectures, tours, opening and closing receptions, etc. Travel costs to\/from Wroclaw, Poland, are not included. We strongly encourage all applicants to look for funding sources from their home institutions and local organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>SCHOLARSHIPS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>TCDS offers a limited number of partial scholarships to cover a very modest portion of the program fee. In addition, TCDS offers a limited number of full scholarships to doctoral students from Eurasia. Full scholarships include travel to and from Poland, room and partial board (breakfast and lunch every day, dinner is not included), and Institute certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>&nbsp;COVID protocols and SAFETY<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All participants MUST follow The New School COVID and safety <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newschool.edu\/covid-19\/\">protocols<\/a> as of the date of the Institute. [New School requires all participants to be fully vaccinated and boosted &#8211; proof of vaccination will be required (for full details, including exemptions, please see TNS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newschool.edu\/covid-19\/\">protocols<\/a>)].
